You would continue steadily gaining weight. Perfect time to exercise the pelvic floor muscles by doing Kegel’s exercise. This helps to support your back and control the flow of urine.

PHYSICAL CHANGES:

  • Nasal block and cold symptoms
  • Sore breasts
  • Tightness of clothing

EMOTIONAL CHANGES:

  • Sense of fulfilment –warm touch, talking with your baby
  • Be receptive with your partner
  • Mental discomfort in clothing
  • Mind relaxation

Your Baby:


Your baby senses more and more about herself and her environment , through sound, touch taste and the chemical message she receives from you. This is the advent of the pure, truly unconditional maternal-child bond. When you are around 17weeks pregnant, a necessary fat called brown fat develops under your baby’s skin. This will help to keep her warm after birth.
